What is CEASE’s FRAC code?

CEASE has been assigned a BM 02 FRAC (Fungicide Resistance Action Committee) code. BM denotes Biological with Multiple Modes of action, while 02 is classified as Microbial (living microbes, extracts, or metabolites). Bacillus subtilis was reclassified from FRAC Code 44 to BM 02 in 2020.

How safe is CEASE to plants?

Research trials and grower experience have shown CEASE to be safe on sensitive foliage and open blooms. If tank-mixed, testing must be carried out to prove whether the mix is as safe as CEASE alone.

What is CEASE’s Active Ingredient?

The active ingredient in CEASE is Bacillus subtilis strain QST 713. Synonyms for Bacillus subtilis are Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, Bacillus subtilis var. amyloliquefaciens, and more recently, Bacillus velezensis. The interchangeable names are due to the evolving taxonomic classification.
