What is CEASE’s Active Ingredient?
The active ingredient in CEASE is Bacillus subtilis strain QST 713. Synonyms for Bacillus subtilis are Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, Bacillus subtilis var. amyloliquefaciens, and more recently, Bacillus velezensis. The interchangeable names are due to the evolving taxonomic classification.

How is SuffOil-X packaged?
SuffOil-X is packaged in 9.46 liter plastic jugs. A case contains 4 x 1 gallons or 2 x 9.46 liters. SuffOil-X can also be purchased in 113.6 liter drums.

Does the SuffOil-X rate require adjustment when using lower water volumes?
No. It must be mixed at the rates indicated on the label regardless of water volume. Higher concentrations than this will result in foliar phytotoxicity.

Should SuffOil-X be used through a fogger or other ULV equipment?
No, for three reasons. First, it is not a labeled application method. Second, the concentration cannot exceed 1 – 2% v/v. Third, the very small droplet sizes do not provide the necessary wetting of the insect and mite pests.
