Victor, NY – September 3, 2026 – BioWorks, a leading provider of biological crop protection and plant health solutions, announces the launch of BioRain Ax, a microbial inoculant designed to mitigate the effects of limited water environments while improving overall plant health and potential yield. In environments where water is limited, BioRain Ax helps plants maintain crop growth, vigor, and productivity through increased water access and retention. BioRain Ax supports commercial production in outdoor specialty crops, ornamentals, greenhouses, nurseries, and other high-value crops.

BioRain Ax is powered by a targeted consortium of beneficial microorganisms that colonizes the rhizosphere of the plant to improve soil structure, increase water retention, and enhance nutrient availability. This creates a stronger, deeper root system that enables more efficient water and nutrient uptake. With flexible soil and irrigation applications, BioRain Ax integrates easily into existing crop protection programs for superior performance across a wide range of crops and growing conditions.

“Growers need products that work in real-world conditions and help them protect yield when access to water is limited,” said Chris Rose, General Manager at BioWorks. “BioRain Ax was developed to give growers a practical, easy-to-use tool that supports plant health, improves water-use efficiency and helps crops perform through drought stress.”
